The mayor of José C. Paz defended the government's social policy but launched a strong accusation against the piqueteros. "They don't want to work and ask for more benefits."

The mayor of José C. Paz, Mario Ishii, charged hard against the beneficiaries of the social plans and in an act that he shared with President Alberto Fernández asked to "stop being a parasite and garronero" and start "working."

During an act called to inaugurate the expansion of the Rubén Caporaletti Hospital, in José C. Paz, the community chief referred to the social situation and said: "We can't cry anymore, let's go out to work."

"It's a lie that people are starving," Ishii said.

"I would like to talk about the social situation, the town has spent very quiet holidays, we have lowered 60% of the soup kitchens. People get jobs. I ask for official bricklayers and I cannot get them," started the controversial mayor.

Facing the gaze of Alberto F. and the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis, Ishii continued: "We are not getting them because unfortunately in times of emergency Néstor Kirchner released a program 'Argentina Works' that would have to last 8 months because it is for emergencies But with the work that there is, they have to come to work, they don't do it because of the large number of social plans that there are."
